Understanding Islam's place in the world is not only of importance to those concerned with the current geopolitical environment, but also to those seeking to understand the development and interaction of world civilizations. To that end, an Islamic Studies minor at Johns Hopkins would include courses in Arabic language, Anthropology, Political Science, and History.
