We, the undersigned students of Florida State University, are aware that there is no recognized program at FSU through which students can study in Israel, despite the fact that there would be a high demand among students to do so if such a program were available. We are disheartened by this matter because so many students will miss out on the unique and enriching experience of studying in Israel, something that is unparalleled on a university campus. We understand and appreciate the concern for student safety, but we feel that students should at least have the option to study in Israel with the support and recognition of their university. We strongly urge the FSU and Programs Abroad administration to take action to reform study abroad policies in such a way that would allow students to take part in the invaluable experience of studying in Israel.
