We the undersigned Israelis express our deep respect for Judge Goldstone's courageous and even-handed investigation of both Israeli and Hamas actions during the events of the Gaza military operation.
We demand that our government apply itself to the task of uncovering possible war crimes committed during the Gaza campaign by our political leaders and armed forces.
We demand that our leadership commit itself to upholding international humanitarian law with respect to the occupation and any future armed conflict.
We call upon nations of the world to invest at least as much effort in achieving peace and ceasefire in times of confrontation as in ascertaining the guilt of those who commit crimes. No commission of inquiry has ever brought the dead back to life.
