Petition for the upcoming MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic, which is currently in development by Bioware Austin, to change the name of the Jedi Knight class to Jedi Guardian.
Jedi Knight is a rank within the Jedi Order. With the recent release of the Jedi Consular class, it makes even less sense for the class to be called a Knight. Since Knight is a rank within the order, a Jedi Consular could in fact be a Jedi Knight. So how can you have a class called Jedi Knight? They are a melee focused Jedi, and these type of Jedi have traditionally been known as Jedi Guardians, even in Bioware's previous games. Guardians who become Masters were known as Warrior Masters and Consulars who became Masters were known as Sage Masters. This petition is really just asking for the Jedi class name to make sense.
