John Couey

Body: John Couey was sentenced by the court of Florida to DEATH today (25 March, 2007) for the kidnapping, rape / sexual battery, and murder of a defenseless little girl from Homosassa, Florida.



As a Tax Paying citizen of the United States (not to mention Florida) I believe we should pressure the current Florida Governer, Charlie Crist, to a speedy execution in accordance with Florida Law.



This was not an isolated incident... John Couey was CONVICTED of 24 different crimes, many of them envolving underaged girls and women. he not only has one charge of Child-Murder resulting in a sentence of death by execution, but also 3 individual and consecutive Life sentences for the sickening crime he commited on Jessica. He is NOT going to see the light of day... so why are we paying every day to keep him alive???

As a tax paying, law abiding citizen of Marion County Florida, a registered voter of Florida and former member of YOUR Florida National Guard (690th Military Police unit of Crystal River, Florida). I am challenging you to END the $56 per day spent to keep convicted child kidnapper, child molester, and child MURDERER alive each day by IMMEDIATELY executing John Couey. I will personally use every effort to seek a new Governer if you, the current Governer, fail to pursue the most speedy execution of John Couey possible. Below is a list of other tax paying citizens who stand behind me in this matter. Do what is right for your state, the people of Homosassa, and the Lunsford family.
