KEEP CLUB 051 OPEN

This is a petition against Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council Licensing Dept to keep Club 051 (Liverpool) open.

As most of you may know Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council are taking Club 051 to court on the 2nd November 2005 in an attempt to revoke the clubs entertainment licence. We at Club 051 feel that the Liverpool Echo report was unfair and that there are far worse venues in Liverpool City Centre that are more eligible for closure. We have continually worked in conjunction with the Police and council over the many years that we have opened our doors, 12 years in total. We have a good record as a safe club to visit.

This isn't just about Club 051, it's about Liverpool clubbing in general. For many years now the city's club scene has been dwindling. Club 051 is a legendary club that has brought many a good time to all that venture there.

We must all have a favourite memory of Club 051.

If you have visited Club 051 recently and then read the Echo report then you will be quick to recognize that club 051 is a safe club and that the aqusations are unjust.

Please sign the petition to keep club 051 open and save this important part of Liverpool clubbing history.
