Keep Smarties tubed

Smarties are a great British institution, and that is owed in no small part to the famous tube packaging which has become synonymous with the product. The reason Smarties - a fairly unremarkable confectionery, truth be told - have become so loved, is because of the cardboard tube, and the fun to be had 'popping' the lid out at your friends afterwards. It's what we've all grown up with, and we wouldn't like a poor marketing move to take that small romance away from our newsagents.

It would be a great disappointment if the packaging was changed.

Please keep Smarties in a tube, and thus keep our memories packaged perfectly.
