Keep to the Admissions Policy Published

The Governors have already drafted admission arrangements for 2010 applicantions for 2011 intake, the admissions policy has been amended in all areas where an objection was upheld. What is the problem?
Well, the adjudicator wants the change implemented NOW for the 2010 intake, of which applications were made in 2009. Pupils had been expecting to be judged by the admission policy published in 2009 when they applied, which has now been changed. Is that fair, NO!
What can be done? A meeting was held by Parents and governors on Tuesday 9th March 2010 to update parents. It was hoped the adjudicator would have reconsidered there position and are still currently deliberating.
The Governing body had reassurances that no changes would be asked against applications made in 2009 for 2010 intake, now those reassurances have been retracted. The governing body voted against judicial review to the surprise of many parents at the meeting. There was a faint promise of a extra ordinary meeting of the school governing body, to once again review the options, as the adjudicator is delaying a reply. Time is running out!
Vote for the school to keep to the admission policy published and let the change be implemented for the 2010 applicants for 2011 intake.
