Between 30 and 50 million Americans are lactose intolerant, and many are not educated properly about their condition. It is possible for many lactose-intolerant people to have small amounts of dairy products, without being affected. Obviously, some are affected by this more and therefore still need an alternative to keep up their calcium levels, and help prevent health problems such as osteoporosis later in life. This alternative comes in the form of lactose free dairy products.
A well known and well-respected celebrity, Kelly Clarkson is known by fans to be lactose-intolerant. In an effort to help promote lactose free product, we feel that she should be included in the 'Got Milk?' advertising campaign. Using Kelly Clarkson would be extremely beneficial, as not only is she admired by children and teenagers, but she is also highly respected among adults, and has already proven herself to be a greatly influential role model, as evidenced by her celebrity spokesperson work for the March Of Dimes charity..She is a Grammy nominated, platinum selling artist who is recognised easily. Hopefully using Kelly on this campaign would make many of the lactose-intolerant population of America aware that there are alternatives to regular milk, and that they too should be looking after their health.
