Newly appointed Tunisia coach Ruud Krol envisages a tough outing against Cameroon in the 2014 World Cup playoff.

Krol, who will combine his duties with the Carthage Eagles with his coaching role at Tunisian side, CS Sfaxien admits a crack test awaits his team in the final hurdle towards next year’s Mundial.

“The mission is very difficult. I do not have time to change many things, but I am confident that the players can do better," the Dutchman told the Mosaic FM in an interview.

Krol has been offered an initial two-month deal by his new employers, with an extension dependent on the performance of the Carthage Eagles in the two-legged match, and is wary of the quality in the Cameroonian team citing striker Samuel Eto’o as a big threat.

"Cameroon is big football nation. Eto\'o is still a good player and must be watched carefully. It is not for nothing that Jose Mourinho went in for him. It\'s an exciting opportunity to play against him.”

The Dutchman replaced Nabil Maaloul, who quit his post after Tunisia suffered a 0-2 loss to Cape Verde in the ultimate qualifier. The result was later overturned in favour of the Carthage Eagles after the Islanders fielded an ineligible player in FUT 14 PC Coins the encounter.

Tunisia has reached the World Cup thrice in 1978 (Argentina), 1998 (France) and 2002 (Japan and Korea).
