To Whom This May Concern:
We dispute against the choices made by the Kyrene School District #28 of Phoenix, AZ, to cut Drama, Industrial Technology, Family and Consumer Sciences, and possibly Multimedia Technology Classes from the Middle School Curriculum. We petition against moving Spanish out of the Core Classes, and making it an 8-week program, leaving students with not even a basic knowledge of the language. We petition against the removal of Art Classes from the Elementary School Curriculum and instead of students having classes such as Music, and PE Twice a week; they are reduced to once every six days. We believe that these classes are focused on everyone and help people with that talent to fine-tune it. We dispute against making all Middle School's the same. It does not give the students a sense of pride for their school, because their school is just like all the others. You say we are not focused on testing, and yet you take out language and replace it with math, yet you add on another hour to elementary schools bell schedules. You constantly tell us parent/student/teacher feedback is important to the district. But it comes across that you want it only when you want to hear it. It is our turn to give you feedback.
