Let Liberty Builders build the new Bayview Library!
The people of Bayview Hunters Point love their library, and they want the new Bayview Library to be built by the people it serves. They trust Liberty Builders, based in and dedicated to their community, to hire and train local workers.
San Francisco city officials have declared Liberty Builders qualified to build the library but are requiring a commitment from a bonding company before awarding the contract. Bonding has always excluded Black contractors, but San Francisco has a bonding and financing program, set up under U.S. Supreme Court guidelines, to overcome that barrier.
We respectfully request that the City and County of San Francisco make a way to award the contract to build the Bayview Library to Liberty Builders so as to bring jobs to a job-starved community that will be the building blocks for peace and prosperity.

Do the right thing! I am a third generation San Franciscan and completely support Liberty Builders. Since Halliburton and Blackwater get enormous no bid public contracts, it's a no-brainer to cut some slack for neighborhood people!
