As students at The University of Leicester we demand that all our catering outlets start to sell Fairtrade products as soon as possible.
The Fairtrade Mark guarantees a better deal for farmers and workers in poor countries. Small scale farmers receive a fair and guaranteed price for their products and workers on plantations receive a fair wage. Minimum environmental, health and safety standards must also be met and no child labour can occur.
Please support Fairtrade by providing as many options as possible in all outlets and vending machines.
