Dear fans and EA!
EA has announced that the servers for Lotr Conquest will be shut down on March the 16th to allow time and money to be spent on other games. Information on the matter can be found here: http://www.ea.com/2/service-updates.
The whole online gaming place are to be shut down on the date because they no long hold a vast majority of player's playing on the servers. However Lotr Conquest holds a community with tons of energy and life with dedicated fans of the game where new clans are made every week and clan battles are a regular occurrence. All in all there are a big and strong community!
Also we all payed for this game as an nearly completly online game and not for playing it offline after one year! Thats really no time for a game which you can play online! And by the way: Whats about all the other Lotr fans outside which are going to buy it in the near future? They will not be able to use it completly with online mode?
That is why WE are saying NO to this and why we decided to make this petition to save the online gaming place of Lord of the rings Conquest for PC, XBOX360 and PS3!
Our idea is that EA turn off there offical servers but not the whole online place. So that we private players will be able to creat the servers by our own in the future. In conquest there are many clans with there own public dedicated servers and also far more of private users with there own servers!
LotrC is a unique game, another game like it cannot be found and has captured the hearts of many gamers and would be absolutely wrong to cut it out when the community is still strong.
Now we asking you EA do think again about this big step and what you will do to us, the unconditionally fans!
