We, the undersigned, hereby petition the Worcester County Commissioners in the State of Maryland to preserve the current Board of Education budget without a decrease in funding for the FY2010.
Worcester County Public Schools in Maryland have a reputation of excellence in education. We thank you for your prior commitment to education in our county. This reputation has drawn families to buy homes and set their roots in our community. Cuts in the education budget will negatively impact the quality of education in our public schools and will have an adverse effect on the local economy.
