Dear President Bush:

(I/We), the undersigned, join with people of conscience worldwide, in condemning the Israeli assault against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the civilian population of Lebanon.

The U.S. government sends an estimated 15 million dollars each day to Israel. Israeli bombs and missiles have systematically destroyed electrical power plants in Gaza, the water supply, bridges, and other parts of the infrastructure necessary to sustain life for the millions of residents in Gaza and Lebanon.

The July 30 Israeli air strike against the southern Lebanese town of Qana, made with U.S. supplied planes and bombs, flattened a three-story building where as many as 100 were seeking shelter. Confirmed civilian casualties numbered 55, of which 37 were children. It is tragic that this Israeli aggression has killed more children than combatants.

Hundreds of civilians have been killed and thousands have been made homeless.

These actions constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity.

We demand an immediate cease fire.

We demand that the United States ends its one-sided foreign policy that allows Israel to violate human rights, U.S. and international law with impunity.

Thus, we call for the termination of all U.S. aid to Israel, due to its violation of the U.S. arms export control act which prohibits nations who receive U.S. aid and American weapons from using such materials to attack and wage war against civilian populations.
