Mellon's Bay to become a Dog Beach!

Mellon's Bay Beach is known to alot of dog owners in and around Auckland! Unfortunately with council restricting on and off leash hours it makes it harder for dogs to get proper exercise and have fun out with other dogs in a social environment. Also to the left of the drain pipe the beach is not appropriate for any feet / paws! It has sharp rocks, cockels etc. Yet this is the side we are expected to run our dogs on? Would you let your son / daughter / nephew / neice / grandkids run on and cut their little feet? NO! So why is it okay for our dogs? Dogs are not animals, in most cases they are a part of a family!
Please help me to help our pets have a beach where they can play on the right side of the drain also OFF - Leash!
