We, the undersigned, are all citizens of this great country, which in some shape or form, should stand for the justice of it's people. Although we realize that the additional income coming from the three dollars an hour that the city earns from the new parking in the downtown core will be used to aid in many public projects, we do not find it to be justified. We believe that the city will aquire the funds it should obtain, in good faith, from ticketing as well as from the extra hours of parking payment operation. For many of us, it is vital to bring our cars downtown, because the public transportation system does not allow us to do so. Many of us are students who cannot afford to pay such a hefty sum for parking, in addition to tuition, books and other expenses. We demand that the parking fees be reduced to two dollars per hour.
