More research, more funding and better treatment for sufferers of Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a gynaecological condition which can cause infertility, extreme and constant pain and depression. It is a relatively unknown condition despite the fact that up to two million women in the UK are sufferers. The cause of endometriosis is as yet unknown, and there is no cure for the condition. Our Government has presided over a decrease in funding for research into endometriosis, from 1.8 million per year in 1998-99 to 1 million in 2002-03; We are calling on the Government to do more to help those who suffer from the condition.
