More Soccer Fields Please

Tidewater Institute of Sports, LLC and the Virginia Rush have joined forces to bring the dream of a true club "home" to reality. T.I.S. was founded to assist in providing an adequate soccer facility where youths and adults will find an environment that promotes health and fitness, both physically and mentally. It will be a place where safety and the distractions of society are not a concern. The facility will include fields, some with lights, a campground, a clubhouse, club offices, retail sales, concession stand, and medical facility. We also hope to incorporate a transportation system, which will help to relieve some of the commuting demands placed on parents. It is the desire of the Rush and T.I.S. that this facility will be a home away from home for players of all ages and levels.

Soccer is a rapidly growing sport, and city governments, due to the lack of funds, have been unable to keep up with the demands of space the sport requires. While this project will be funded privately, it will take the public's support and interest in order to make this soccer project happen. Fields are a necessity in order for our soccer players to continue to train and develop in the sport. Currently soccer players do not have a place to call home! We are sharing what fields are currently available with softball, baseball and football. We need to look forward to and encourage the future growth of soccer in the Hampton Roads area.

It will be only a matter of years when the number of participants will need to be limited due to the shortage of adequate, safe playing fields. Please do not let this happen.

Show your support for this project by signing our petition today even if you do not live in the City of Virginia Beach! We need 40,000 signatures to get the attention of the city council in Virginia Beach!! When the petitions have been signed and collected, they will be presented to city officials in Virginia Beach, VA to show there is overwhelming support for youth soccer players!
