To the Department of Civil Engineering,
It is believed that the movement of CIV 497 from its originally scheduled time to Friday from 9 am to 1 pm is unjustified. This time change was announced several days after all students had selected their Arts and Science electives. The process of picking these electives to our degree requirements ( for either our majors, or minors) is very difficult to do based on the limited availability and harsh time restrictions that have to be considered. It is unjust to ask everyone to rearrange their timetables and courses after the so much planning and strategizing was placed on selecting these courses. We are petitioning the department to either return CIV 497 to its originally scheduled time, or to work with the students to come to a reasonable solution
