This petition is get the south stand's name changed to THE LEE BRIERS STAND in honour of the career and achivements of LEE BRIERS.
Lee Briers is a British professional rugby league footballer who plays stand-off for English Super League club, Warrington Wolves. A Great Britain and Wales international representative half, he previously played for St Helens. After joining Warrington in 1998 Briers spent time as captain and also played in the club's 2009 and 2010 Challenge Cup-winning teams.
Briers was captain of the Wales national rugby league team, and was selected in the back-up squad for the 2006 Tri-Nations competition in Australia and New Zealand, playing in Britain's warm-up game in Newcastle. However, he was controversially over-looked for the full series, with many believing he would have offered Britain's one dimensional attack the variety it badly needed.
Lee Briers's Testimonial match at Warrington took place in 2007 and he stepped down as captain at the end of the season.
Briers played for Warrington in the 2010 Challenge Cup Final victory over the Leeds Rhinos. He also won the Lance Todd Trophy for his performance.
LEE BRIERS has 2,425 ways to show he is officially a Warrington legend - but he does not feel like one yet.
The stand-off, 32, last week became the Wolves' highest ever points scorer beating Steve Hesford's record.
He notched 44 - including 16 goals for another club best - in the 112-0 Challenge Cup rout of Swinton.
n 2010 he represented Wales in the Alitalia European Cup.
