New Jersey Petition for Justice in Palestine

We the undersigned call upon our New Jersey representatives and senators to demand that Israel dismantle the Wall it HAS CONSTRUCTED ON PALESTINIAN TERRITORY and end its occupation of the Palestinian Territories.
We demand that the recent World Court opinion declaring that the portion of the Wall on land beyond the 1949 armistice line is illegal, and that Israel be required to comply with UN resolutions 242 and 337, and 194. Israel must withdraw to the pre-1967 borders and negotiate a peace agreement with the Palestinians creating a bona fide Palestinian state.
We demand that our government must stop funding the construction of the Wall and the illegal occupation of Palestinian land, which are roadblocks to lasting peace and security in the Middle East. Over 8 billion dollars of U.S. tax dollars are being used every year to fund these illegal activities. This money is needed here for living wage jobs, health care, education, environmental protection and other necessities.
Therefore, we call upon our elected representatives and senators to see to it that our government withholds all aid to Israel until it abides by international law, complies with UN resolutions and enters into meaningful negotiations with the Palestinian people to achieve a two state solution.
Walls and Occupation do not bring peace. ONLY JUSTICE BRINGS PEACE !
