New or Extended Bus Route for Brighton/Sandgate

As many will know there is a few buses that service the Brighton/Sandgate area. Those are the 690/695 buses that come from over the Pennisula, through Brighton to Sandgate. There is the 311/312/313/314 that service around Brighton, Sandgate and Shorncliffe. There is the train from Sandgate and Shorncliffe and lastly the 310 bus that goes hourly through Brighton right through Sandgate, Toombul onto the City but there is a crucial need for a service that incorporates Bracken Ridge and Brighton and the Brisbane North Institute of TAFE as well as Chermside shopping Centre and even the Prince Charles Hospital. Many students in the area are always late to the tafe as the only service available is the 326 Bracken Ridge bus from Sandgate and the first one leaves after 9 am, so therefore it is not possible for Sandgate/Brighton residents to be on time. Also they do not run late enough. This means if you live in Brighton area, you have to catch a bus to Sandgate then another bus to Bracken Ridge that only leaves after you are meant to start your day at TAFE and you have to leave your course early to return home. It takes more than an hour to get there when it only takes 5 minutes if you have a car. Many students do not have this luxury. Also, many students and others need transport to Chermside Shopping Centre. From Brighton and Sandgate you have to catch two buses to get to Chermside Shopping Centre, and three buses if you want to go to the Prince Charles Hospital. This really is appalling considering at least Bracken Ridge has a bus that goes past the TAFE and onto Chermside Shopping Centre. So what I want is for people to sign to either have a new bus route that incorporates Brighton/Sandgate/Bracken Ridge/Chermside or for the 330 bus route to be extended to include Brighton and Sandgate. This is a service that is desperately needed by young and old alike. Lets get the transport we require!
