To all those who believe in Democracy:
On Sunday June 22 of 2008, CHANNEL ONE TV, the voice of all Iranians who seek freedom and democracy in Iran , was silenced. According to the satellite company, due to severe interference on our frequency, they had to take CHANNEL ONE TV off HOT BIRD which meant no transmission to Iran or Europe . To object to our oppression, we plan to seek justice in court. We request support and assistance in our cause from all those who believe in freedom of speech. The interruption of our broadcast from the Islamic government of Iran or other sources should be condemned by domestic and international laws. Since CHANNEL ONE TV is based in the United States , we are asking this country's justice system to protect our rights.We ask all those who are defenders of democracy to sign this petition allowing CHANNEL ONE TV to go back on HOT BIRD. Until then, we shall not remain silent.
