1. Marketing Research has its roots in applicability to the real world. In the real world, countless of resources are available to us. Hence, we ask that this availability of resources be extended throughout the course, especially in the form of our final exams.
2. Having an open book exam would in no way lessen our learning. If we can refer to our relevant course notes and textbook during the exam, we will be reviewing and assimilating the appropriate lessons we have learnt from this class.
3. In fact, having a closed book exam may place unnecessary stress and pressure on us to mechanically memorize some irrelevant information by rote, which takes away the true value of learning.
