Parent's Decision - No Marching Band

Music is and forever will be my life; however, due to a problem with my grades in school, my parents are forbidding me from ever participating in high school marching band ever again. I am a sophomore so I would have had two years left to march a snare spot with the Ridge View Blazer Band. The classes I took 1st semester along with the corresponding averages (in order of schedule) are:

Health - 94
English II Honors - 86
Spanish III Honors - 80
Algebra III - 79
Computer Applications - 94
Symphonic Band - 99
Band Rehearsal (Marching Band) - 100

With regards to my averages and quarter grades I have fully complied with my parents request of having a C or above in every class; however, during the 1st interim (mid-year grade report) I received a 75 in Algebra III, two points away from a C. As you can see, I pulled it up to where it needed to be but my parents are unforgiving. They claim that not doing marching band will boost my grades and GPA when in fact, as you can see, a 100 for the Band Rehearsal grade significantly boosts my GPA. Not having that 100 for the next two years will affect my GPA in a non-beneficial way. The reason, I believe, that they are being so harsh and unforgiving is because of past school problems (homework and lack of effort) that they think are occurring again, when in all honesty it couldn't be further from the truth. I am neither a genius, nor an idiot and thus I make decent grades. The interim happened to come at an inconvenient time in the midst of a bad string of quizzes. I do my work and I try in school. To condemn me for such a notion is, I believe, outrageous. If you believe I am in the wrong, then I am sorry you feel that way but it is an opinion you are entitled to. However, if you believe I am right then please lend me a small amount of your time and sign saying that you believe.
