We are closely monitoring the violent clashes, political turmoil and mayhem that have gripped Kenya over the past few weeks.
We are seriously saddened by the current situation in Kenya as hundreds of people have been killed. With the possibility of many more to come.

We know that those killed people might be your parents, colleagues, neighbors or friends.
We are very sorry of what is happening in Kenya and sympathize in this sorrow moment.

Given the recent genocide of 1994 in Rwanda, we all remember how far journalists of Radio mille Collines went in supporting the atrocities and encouraging the killings.
We wish all colleagues in the world could learn a lesson from the Hate Media and fight against it .
We wish all media practioners in Kenya to call for peace and contribute to ease the tension.
The current situation in Kenya can only be resolved if YOU stand firm, not only to avoid hate promotion, but more importantly , put in place mechanisms and new programming encouraging peace for all Kenyans.
We strongly believe that you, media professionals, understand and agree that all the citizens of Kenya are Kenyans.
Therefore the idioms such as people of milk, bad grass among us, bad animals from west and other derogatory descriptions only serve to encourage violence.
Please, please, please avoid those massages on air!
Failure to stop violence will propel the country towards chaos and the risk of ethnic cleansing - something everybody would want to avoid at all costs.Remember RwandaRemember Burundi Dont become another African Chapter of Genocide and Racism.
We are encouraging you to work hard for peace among Kenyans so that we can proudly play again Kenya, Hakuna Matata.
We are asking you, in media or other sector, to devote a few minutes of your time to this petition; add your signature and send a support to the people of Kenya in general and media practitioners in particular, because human lives are at stake here.
