We are deeply troubled by the ongoing conflict in the Jewish community of Vilnius.

We understand the Joint Distribution Committee, an organization with a long and glorious history has unfortunately decided to support the secular community and its efforts.
The secular community has closed the synagogue, attempted to import another rabbi, used guards to remove Rabbi & Rebbitzen Krinsky, stationed guards at the entrance to the synagogue to decide who can enter and who cannot. This is all part of an effort to have sole control of the restitution funds.
We request.
1. Open the synagogue and allow the community to have services lead by Rabbi Krinsky as he has done for ten years.
2. Instruct the secular community to cease all violence and intimidation of the religious community.
3. Reconstitute the Reparation Committee to be representative of all segments of the community.
