Petition to the City of Seattle
To Whom it May Concern:
Due to the historical lack of results of the Department of Planning and Development's Code Enforcement Unit in the Miller Park neighborhood and elsewhere in the East Precinct, we hereby request that the City Auditor complete a performance audit of the Code Enforcement Division, to be provided to the citizens and the City Council. We ask for an investigation of the following:
1.) Management and incentive practices (including promotions): specifically in regards to how they reflect the interests of the division's many stakeholders, including the Seattle Police Department's Community Police Teams, the citizens and their neighborhood associations.
2.) Results: complaint clearance rates, time-to-resolution, and complainant satisfaction.
3.) Responsiveness and service: promptness and professionalism of communications with police and other city workers, neighborhood leaders, city council, and residents of the city of Seattle.
