2008 marks thirty years since the stunning debut album by Van Halen, known to most as 'Van Halen I'

To celebrate - and due to the absence of Official 1978-84 Live DVD releases, fans of the original line-up are joining forces in lieu of the canceled reunion tour to request and to put into motion the production of a Classic VH Live DVD.

We hope to collect the names of thousands. With the assistance of all online
Van Halen/David Lee Roth forums and communities, Myspace, Youtube and user group sites - we want the Ultimate Mega list of Van Halen fans to give weight to this project.

Should you and your friends want to experience the sights and sounds and excitement of the original Van Halen line-up (Dave, Ed, Al, Mike) on an Official Live DVD, please sign your name below. While your e-mail address is required for this petition, IT WILL NOT BE DISPLAYED FOR OTHERS UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO DO SO.

Feel free to send the link for this petition to anyone. VH fans past & present, radio stations, press, media, musos, rock celebs, even sheep who will support the cause - all those who remember the Live Impact of the Mighty VH 1978-84.

The search begins here. Crucially, we need permission from the current copyright owners/holders. We are not clear at present who this may be, Warner Brothers, VH members, or others. While we are aware that Pro-Shot Live footage exists from most years between 1978-84, the task is to locate and collate the material on behalf of Van Halen and David Lee Roth fans, so as to present it in an Amazing & Long Awaited package that equals or surpasses the 2002 Led Zeppelin DVD.

1978 - U.S. - Supporting act at Texxas Jam Cotton Bowl in Dallas, TX w/ Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, & Heart, as well as Day on the Green at Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, CA w/ Aerosmith, Foreigner, Pat Travers, & AC/DC
Japan - T.V. interviews and possible Live footage
U.K. - Support to Black Sabbath
1979 - First Headline tour - any interviews and/or Live Footage
1980 - Headline Tour - Pro Shot @ Largo, MD
1981 - " " Pro Shot @ Largo, MD & Oakland, CA
1982 - " " Pro Shot @ Largo, MD & Los Angeles, CA
1983 - " " Pro Shot from South American Invasion Tour locations
1984 - " " Pro Shot @ Largo, MD
