South Florida's Dance Music Station Party 93.1 Shut its doors yesterday (Febraury 14th, 2003 at 6.p.m). There was no warning at all. It changed format, turned into a Rock Station and abandoned all of it's devoted listeners, advertisers and basicly all of south florida and / or those who listened worlwide over the web.
This petition is to bring it back, and let them know that we want our dance music station back on air. Party 93.1 was the only one of it's kind in SOuth Florida catering to all forms of Dance Music.
Many of us spent countless hours listening to it on the way to work, at work, at home or at play. We feel it was shut down without letting us know and abandoning our genre of music. This has been a heartfelt sad day for many of us. It has given us a great deal of grief, and sadness. We are in complete awe of how we were abandoned!
We dont want to be a mere silent voice in the shadows. We want our opinions and voices heard. We want them to know how bad this has affected our lives. Please if you feel lIKE I do, and find this move un-appropiate by the company that represents 93.1 sign this petition immediately. Please tell your friends and spread the word. Bring Party 93.1 back to South Florida. Let's make an example of unity and fight against the powers that decided that move.
If we get enough people together, perhaps we can over turn this decision.
Let's band together and save our genre of music. Let's show coporate america our voices need to be heard and we should'nt be abandoned so inconsiderately.

Amen! This station was one of the reasons why I moved to South Florida. I was horrified to find it was gone when I arrived :-(.

I am totally disguested at the fact of how we were abandoned, Without word or notice CoxRadio changed formats and destroyed the Dance Music Format in all of Florida. Our voices need to be Heard! - Please Spread The Word!!!!
