It is felt that District Attorney Reeves has shown incompetence in his duties by failing to represent the best interest of Barbour Countys Citizens. It is felt that District Attorney Reeves has violated the oath of office by failing to support and defend the Constitution. Specifically by violating the privacy of Barbour County citizens by issuing an illegal subpoena on Jan. 21, 2010 and attempting to force the Eufaula Tribune forcing them to reveal the identity of its online readers.
Additionally is is felt the Mr. Reeves has acted in an egregious manner by hiring and appointing an attorney who has previously been disbarred by the Alabama Bar ( Ms. Sabrie Graves) and placing her in the position of prosecutor and failing to conduct a background check on said individual.
These actions show that Mr. Reeves has acted beyond the offices granted authority and in an incompetent and morally questionable manner.
Please note that persons signing this petition must be registered or be eligible to vote in Barbour County Alabama. No one can sign the petition more than once. Please forward this petition to any and all fellow Barbour County Citizens who are interested in a legitimate District Attorney that follows the law and has the necessary moral character to hold this office.
Sincerely, The Barbour County Coalition for Ethics in Government
