Petiton for KBS

Dear KBS,
I am making this petition today for the drama the Daughters of Bilitis, the first ever Korean lesbian drama. You have announced that the airing will be halted because of backlash of the netizens. I am not Korean nor do I live in Korea but I wanted to speak on behalf of the supporters of the show. I know you represent Korea and that the audience is very important but we are asking you to stand your ground. I'm assuming that if you decided to air the show that there are some supporters within KBS. The Korean must learn that homosexuality has existed and will always exist, shutting it out will not make it go away. If they took time to watch the show they will see that it isn't putting homosexuality on a pedestal, it is just showing real life hardships that homosexuals go through everyday. They are just like everyone else and can't help who they love, they really do not deserve all the hate they receive. The drama offers a voice for them, please don't take it away. I know it may be hard for me as a foreigner to understand Korean culture but I had to speak up about this injustice. I am hoping that many Korean people will also sign this. Thank you for your time and I hope you will reconsider your decision.
