Play the Super Bowl on Saturday

Beginning with the 2003 NFL season, the National Football League locked in the concept of waiting 2 weeks between the completion of the Conference Championship games and the Super Bowl.

We the undersigned would like to respectfully submit that if this 2 week gap stays "the norm" or "the standard" for the foreseeable future you strongly consider making it a 13 day gap and play the game on Saturday evenings. Although the author of this petition is not a media buy expert, being a fan of the NFL for so long I cannot help but think it would actually HELP ratings due to the simple fact that all "Super Bowl Parties" would be on a weekend night and actually encourage more viewers.

Sure, the networks lose their "post SB Sunday Night bounce" for whatever TV show they are attempting to introduce or resurrect, but the game has reached a point -and I believe you have as well- that you have the upper hand here and as fans we want to see you use it for the NFL and not ABC, NBC, CBS or Fox.
