Protect U.S. Citizens Rights Online

In order to express ourselves online, we must use an Internet Domain Name. The protection of our free expression "Free Speech" is guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, specifically its Bill of Rights. However, in just two years, our Free Speech Rights and other Rights of U.S. Citizens on the Internet have been taken away: ICANN, the "International Corporation for the Assignment of Names and Numbers", was given the authority by the U.S. Department of Commerce to decide that the U.S. Domain Names: .com, .net, and ..org are "International" Domain Names, and thus not subject to the Protections of our Constitution. These supposed "International" Domain Names are now controlled by current ICANN Policies, which are in fact "International Laws" that dictate what we can and cannot do online.
We demand that the use and ownership of the .com, .net, and .org Domain Names be protected by the U.S. Law. We demand that ICANN be censured for its attempt to control Domain Name Use worldwide. We are concerned about our civil liberties and civil rights on and off the Internet, and we call upon members of the U.S. Government to act to protect them.
