We, the concerned citizens of Michigan, feel that it is a travesty that so many child molesters and child pornography users live in relative safety in this great state of Michigan. We feel that although the death penalty is a terrible, terrible thing, it is worse that these people should be able to risk the lives and health of our children. We are aware that the sex offender registry for the State of Michigan is far longer than it should be if we were to deal with this situation properly to begin with, and do not believe that the children of our state should be forced to live in fear anymore.
To this end, we the undersigned voters have determined that we believe capital punishment should be instituted in Michigan and applied to all convicted repeat child molesters and child rapists, and life in prison to all convicted repeat users of child pornography. We request a very forceful move by the State of Michigan to correct these travesties imposed on Michigan youths by these villains.
