We the undersigned oppose the possible inclusion of the Green party in the upcoming Canadian Federal Debates.
We feel that a party should at the very minimum represent one riding in the country before they are allowed to debate, because before that threshold is met they do not truly represent anyone. We feel that otherwise the debates could become less and less meaningful as more and more parties are included.
Finally, we feel that this issue needs to be addressed and clear guidelines need to be set once and for all, so that these kinds of protests from fringe parties never have to happen again.
