Protesting the elimination of free parking on E. Victoria St alongside CSUDH

We, the undersigned, protest the removal of free parking from East Victoria Street alongside the campus of CSUDH. In such a time of economic downturn, many students, staff and faculty are struggling simply to get by, or even afford to make tuition payments. We find that the removal of the free parking to be patently unjust and uncalled for. With its removal, we are compelled to purchase daily, monthly or semester parking passes on campus. This is something that many of us can ill afford at such a challenging economic time. Respectfully but firmly, we insist on the reinstatement of free parking in front of the school without delay.
