Purdue University Responsible Construction

We, the students and staff of Purdue University in the State of Indiana, respectfully petition that the following Policy of Responsible Construction Conduct be implemented into existing Purdue University Policy such that all further Purdue University construction projects must be bound by the following regulations:

(1) There is to be no construction efforts at any Purdue University academic facility if said construction is known to interfere with the progress of any Purdue University academic lecture, lab or recitation. This Policy applies to Fall, Spring and Summer Semesters, and is only precluded from application during Purdue University interim weeks and other Purdue University academic rest periods.

(2) There is to be no construction or renovation of Purdue University Residence facilities between the hours of 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) which exceeds a maximum volume of 85dB. This Policy applies to all Purdue University residence facilities known to be housing Purdue University students.

We, The Undersigned, accept and promote the terms of this petition in response to degrading lecture integrity and continued violation of responsible auditory conditions at varying Purdue University facilities in the State of Indiana.
