Reform for our leaders

Fellow American's, it is time we start to stand up to the elected officials in both parties, and make them and there affiliation "respected party -colleagues" Accountable for actions taken. Recently a tactic has been used in the congress called a filibuster please allow me to include here the definition [A filibuster (also known as speaking or talking out a bill) is a type of parliamentary procedure. Specifically, it is a form of obstruction in a legislature or other decision-making body whereby a lone member can elect to delay or entirely prevent a vote on a proposal.

The term "filibuster" was first used in 1851. It was derived from the Spanish filibustero, which translates as "pirate" or "freebooter." This term had evolved from the French word flibustier, which itself evolved from the Dutch vrijbuiter (freebooter). This term was applied at the time to American adventurers, mostly from Southern states, who sought to overthrow the governments of Central American states. This tactic among other shady and perverted abuses of the current senate law makes it impossible to overcome, other then by a super majority vote. I am asking the American people to have new legislation implemented that does not allow for senate to recess until a bill that has been on the table for more then 4 weeks is passed or defeated. In addition the person or people voting No must stay in the senate or have there vote be overturned. Meaning no more stalling for vacation to get back on a issue.

In addition to the reform i am purposing on the use of filibuster tactics. I would also like to add personal liability to all high ranking officials. We could do this in a manner where every elected official must maintain a approval rating and eliminating fixed terms. Said approval rating should be managed by a unbiased outsourced company or national poll that cannot be tampered with. If the elected official's approval rating falls below a certain point "lets say for sake of speculation 45\%". For a period greater then 8 Months the official would be striped of tittle position pay and incentives retro acting back to the time they started there term. Just Like a employee can be fired at a moments notice for poor performance. We need to remind the government they work for us the taxpayer, They are not the end all say all WE ARE! We Need to remember this is a PUBLIC SERVICE job they are holding, When a contractor does a poor job you don't pay for it you take them to court!

I am asking for 13 Million signatures on this petition. I realize this is a high number. However it will take just that to make them see we are not playing around anylonger!
