The Alumni Award for Excellence in Teaching is the highest teaching honour awarded to Queen's faculty and in its 32 year history it has never been awarded to a member of the School of Medicine. Dr. Conrad Reifel has been teaching at Queen's University for 25 years and has been awarded the Aesculapian Society Teaching Award 12 times, including the last 7 consecutive years. Dr. Reifel represents everything the award stands for, including an intimate knowledge of the subject matter of anatomy, attentiveness to students' questions and learning needs, charismatic and engaging lectures, and evaluations that are challenging and fair.

We believe that Dr. Reifel of the Queen's School of Medicine is worthy and deserving of Alumni Award for Teaching Excellence.
