We support the restoration of Amtrak's North Coast Hiawatha passenger route across southern Montana. Passenger and freight trains can help strengthen the economy and improve national security. Rail service consumes significantly less energy per passenger mile than cars, air service, or trucks. Passenger service provides increasingly important travel choices for everyone, especially those on limited budgets and with decreased mobility, such as the elderly, students, and families.

As a child I remember riding the train to livingston with my Great Aunt. Would be nice to do the same trip with my 11 year old son.
