RE: Releasing my Passport

I am creating this petition to Demand a release of my passport, My actions upon researching for a job overseas was a direct result AND suggestion from the State of Texas, Attorney Generals Office in Austin Texas.

The states of Texas and Ohio Do not communicate therefore increasing the disparity between me and my daughter. I've been robbed of her as she has I for 11 years now. I've even moved to Ohio to try and be a part of her life. It has been a battle from day 1 just to find out if my child is alive.

In September, I had seen on the news where Halliburton was hiring for jobs in Iraq, For me and my child, this would be the one opportunity to right the injustices that have been done in the past. In 1 year, I could pay all arrears, including Interst(Something unknown to me until recently) all government assistance I am being charged with AND my actual arrears. AND I would have the funds to pursue Legal visitation within the state of Ohio (Est cost 20 thousand US dollars, An Attorney in Texas and one in Ohio as directed by attorneys both in Texas and in Ohio). And have enough to start medical to rectify my health issues.

I had called Halliburton/Kellogg Brown and Root and spoke to a Recruiter there (Rob Geraman, 713-753-3547) in Early September, He explained the process to me, He also explained if I had back child support I may have a hold on my Passport. Rob had encouraged me to contact the AG's office and check with them. The following business day was a Monday, I took time off to Contact The Texas Attorney Generals office (All of my court paperwork state Texas as the jurisdictional court). I spoke to a lady by the name of Annette at the phone number of 800-687-8265, Annette had taken some time ot look over my case and responded to me that in fact There was not a hold on my passport. I explained to her as to what I was doing. She responded it was good to see someone stepping up and going above and beyond for their child.

As soon as I was off of the Telephone with Annette, I called Mr Geraman back and told him there was not a hold on my passport, At this time he arranged to have transportation provided to get em to Ohio to go to work. I got off of the telephone with Mr Geraman and called my employer and put in my 2 week notice. In order to have the things required to take with me, I pawned my Pickup, as I was living in my pickup I also lost my home.

I flew out of Colorado Springs on 9/22/03, That evening I had my orientaiton to How Iraq is and how this was supposed to work. On 9/24 we had our Passport pass/fail meeting. I had failed my Passport, I had passed every other aspect of the qualifications. The following day I contacted Texas as directed by the Passport people for Halliburton, I Called the Texas Attorney Generals office and was otld I needed to tlak to the State of Ohio and was given the phone number to contact them.

I called Ohio and was directed to Sharon, I spoe to her and explained htings, and she had told me to tlak to the Attorney for the Department because it would not be something she oculd make a decision on, I was referred to Bart Sharkey, After numerous attempts to contact Mr Sharkey I had finally gotten ahold of him, he explained to me that he needed 3000 Dollars US OR a contract between me and Kellogg Brown and Root, I tried to acomplish the contract aspect as there is no way I could ocme up with 3000 Dollars US. After almost a week of Mr Geraman trying to contact Mr Sharkey I caleld and had gotten ahold of Mr Sharkey, He then explained to em that it was no longer 3000 US Dollars OR a contract it would require 3000 US Dollars AND a Contract, and he Explained he was not goingt o lift a finger to help me in my endeabvors and to have these ppl stop calling him and leaving messages because he would not return their call as he is to busy. Kellogg Brown and Root from my understanding view that I had LIED to them about my availability, and found Mr Sharkey not in their best intrests in contacting as he refused to return ANY telephone calls.

I was told, IF I get my passport clear, Kellogg brown and Root will put me to work in Iraq, I may or may not have the same job, but atleast I would have a job that pays 5 times what I make here in the United States. After looking at my base pay (Not to include overtime) and My projected payments, 6 months I would be paid free and clear. Sirs, 5 months have passed.. Would this had been in the "Best intrests of my child"? Not to mention to all involved? Or are the states in the business of keeping Well meaning parents in the red and under their control?

Since I have been back, I have emailed Ohio, Colorado and Texas Governors, Ron Young of Ohio (Leading HB 232 legislation), Numerous other powers that be in Ohio concerning my issues, AND I Mailed by Certified mail to Rachel Hutzel, Mithcell Bonham and Donald Wake with all information to guarantee my payments with the release of my passport. The certified letters were recieved and Signed by Dar Bailey, on 10/20/03, The leters left Coloraod Springs on 10/17/03. I've not heard a response form any of these people.

I demand my passport be released! I demand to eb allowed to be the FATHER I am supposed to be!
