Genesis (Tony Banks, Michael Rutherford, Steve Hackett, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, and Ray Wilson) are one of the most successful bands in progressive rock history. It is well documented that Genesis has toured the world for over 30 years by playing hundreds of show in clubs, theatres, arenas, and stadiums. Hundreds of those shows, to include rehearsals and studio outtakes, were recorded by Genesis in both audio and video form. Many of these recordings date from around 1968 to about 1998. Many of these recordings have never officially been released to the general public.

It is understood and well documented that these tapes are still held in storage at the possession of the band members and staff at the studio. Recently, selections of tapes have been digitally transferred. Fans from all over the world have been awaiting words from the management for a few years now on what is to become of the recordings, but to no avail. Information about the recordings can be confirmed on a post located at the official Genesis Homepage: http://www.genesis-music.com, News Section, 19 May 2005.

We the undersigned respectfully request and urge Genesis and their management to consider the release of the archive recordings. We the undersigned believe that the archive recordings could not only boost individual interest and sales for Genesis, but possibly gain new fans as well. Finally, we the undersigned are more than happy to welcome all the archive recordings to be release.
