We the Citizens of Georgia feel that our rights are being infringed upon by not being able to purchase alcohol on Sundays.
This petition is a request for the repeal of Georgia State Code 3-3-20.
There is no reason for this particular law, being that the reason for such a law has religious background and does not offer any state interest. There are many tourists and business people who come into Georgia daily. For those who are from another state that does not have such laws, they are very frustrated and do not understand the need for such a law. This also includes those new residents from other states.
