Request for Canon Inc to remove the embedded microchip in their new cartridges

We hereby request the removal of the microchip embedded in the latest generation of your printer cartridges.
The newer cartridges while perhaps being more accurate at measuring ink levels is also an attempt by Canon to stop the use of third party cartridges which are abundantly available and cost a lot less. The new cartridges hold less ink and are more expensive. They also detect the attempt to refill the cartridge and warn that if you continue it will be recorded in the printers memory and that Canon would not be liable for damages.
It is illegal in the United States for any printer manufacturer to void a warranty for the sole reason that third party ink is used.
We have boycotted other printer manufacturers because of the high tech padlock being placed on their printers.
