Request to Chairperson, CAT 2008 Committee for an error free question paper

Dear Chairperson, CAT 2008 Committee

We all will be writing on 16th Nov 2008.
In CAT 2006 there were two question wrong.
In CAT 2007 there were one question wrong. Situation has become so bad that
these days when people give tips for CAT they include a very embarrassing tip.
They says that be aware, there may be some question wrong in the question paper. Just leave that question and move to next question.

I am giving you one example here.
This is what Mr Ajit has to say about this :

5) Realize that CAT paper might have erroneous questions.. Such an erroneous question ensured that my DI score last time was below the IIMA cutoff.. So, if you feel that there is something wrong in some question, dont waste time... leave it and proceed to the next.

Mr Ajit is first year PGDM student at IIMK.
Is it really difficult to prepare one correct question paper in one year ? I dont think so.
Take a look at what CFA Institute has to say about it :

No questions have been eliminated nor have any questions been determined to have more
than one correct answer since 1997.
CFA institute prepares 8 question paper every year.

Well You can also do it.

Here is my suggestion :

1.) Suppose you are preparing 60 questions for DI and Quant.

2.) Divide these 60 question in 12 parts. Call these parts 1, 2, 3 .. 12. Question 1-5 to part 1, Question 6-10 to Part 2 and so on.

3.) Select two professors from each IIMs who teach Quant. Call them A, B, C, L.

4.) Assign Part 1 and Part 2 to Professor A , Part 2 and Part 3 to Professor B and so on.
5.) Ask them to review each question three times. In the morning , in the afternoon and in the evening.
6.) Pay each faculty member Rs 5 lakh for this task.

Thats it . There is still enough time to complete this task. If you find a question wrong you can inform candidate through email or through www.catiim.in website or you can prepare a slip saying that question no x is incorrect, dont attempt it and distribute these slips to each candidate before examination starts.
