We, The Undersigned, petition that George Alan O'Dowd (commonly known as Boy George) be permitted a visa to enter the United States for the purposes of completing his scheduled North American tour and performing for thousands of eager fans. Because George O'Dowd has been granted unconditional bail by the Police and Courts of London regarding the current proceedings he faces in the United Kingdom, O'Dowd has been permitted to travel about the world and should not be denied access to the United States. This is especially evident as ODowds planned summer (July and August of 2008) tour and intent to reach his American fan base (which he has built over the past twenty-five years) have been jeopardized. We ask the U.S. State Department's Visa Services to reconsider George O'Dowd's denial of a visa to enter the United States.
