The Bush administration awarded a $293 million Iraq security contract to the British firm Aegis Defense Services Ltd. It is the largest such security contract granted thus far. Aegis is run by Tim Spicer, a former lieutenant colonel in the Scots Guards. Spicer was in command when two of his soldiers murdered Belfast teenager Peter McBride in 1992. Spicer supported and defended these soldiers during their trial and continues to do so following their convictions of murder.
We the undersigned demand a revoking of the security contract with Tim Spicer and Aegis Defense Services Ltd.
